    Xining: Qinghai Lake

    Today we will go to Qinghai Lake, the pearl of the province. It is the largest inland lake and the largest salt lake in China. You can see the clear water, the blue sky and many wild birds. Qinghai Lake is a place of supreme holiness in the hearts of Tibetan people. Numerous pilgrims hike around the lake to pay their homage. Some devout believers even kneel down every several steps to worship the sacred lake.

    Ta'er Temple, Xiningto Lhasa by Train

    Half a day is devoted to visiting the Ta'er Temple, an important centre of Tibetan Buddhism in northwest China. It was constructed in 1560, the 39th year of Emperor Jiajing's reign in the Ming Dynasty. Because the monastery was built subsequent to a tower, it was named Taer Monastery. After lunch you will take the train to Lhasa. It is a great experience to discover the way to heaven.

    Lhasa Arrival

    You will arrive in Lhasa around noon. Lhasa is the capital of Tibet. It is the cultural and political centre of Tibet. Live many Tibetans. As in Tibet it has a high altitude. To adopt well at high altitude, we advise you to rest well at the hotel.

    Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Monastery, Barkhor Street

    After breakfast, today's visit will begin with the Potala Palace, a sacred place in Tibetan Buddhism. It is composed of the white palace and the red palace. It is a very beautiful palace to visit and photograph.
    In the afternoon we will visit the Jokhang Monastery, located in Barkhor Street, known for a 12-year-old Sakyamuni Buddha statue in gold. It was built under the Tang dynasty and has a history of more than 1350 years. It is the best preserved building of the Songtsen Gampo era.
    After walk and shop on Barkhor Street. You can find local and typical souvenirs. You also see Tibetan Buddhist pilgrims there.

    Lhasa: Norbulingka, Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery

    Today visit the Norbulingka Palace, serving as a summer palace in ancient times. Now it is a pretty garden, and at the same time it is also an important place to offer Tibetan shows during the Shoton festival.
    The Sera Monastery is an essential site in Lhasa. Many Tibetan monks are currently living there. It shows the discussion of Tibetan Tantras. With the discussion of Tibetan Tantras monks can make progress on the theory of Tibetan Buddhism.
    Located west of Lhasa, Drepung Monastery is one of the six largest monasteries in the Gelu School. It has beautiful palaces and tantras. Every year it is the place to exhibit Thangka.

Normally we will arrange vehicles with more space for you and your luggages. Depending on the number of passengers, we generally use sedans or minivans (7 seats) for 4 people or less, large vans or small buses (12-22 seats) for 5 to 12 people, medium cars (33-37 seats) for 13 - 25 people and large buses (more than 45 seats) for more than 25 people.

Remarks 
•  Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit (TTB) should be applied 12 working days in advance before the date of your trip de Tibet. If you couldn't provide the required documents on time, an extra handling fee will be charged.
•  Due to the special nature of Tibet, if any unforeseen cases occur beyond our control, such as war, fire, epidemics, health risks, hurricanes, terrorism and other current or potential severe weather conditions, government action, major traffic jams, delay or cancellation of flight/train, attractions temporarily closed. etc., we will have to change your itinerary, and in this case, we will calculate and charge/refund any increase or reduction in travel costs accordingly.
