  • Day1

    Lhasa Arrival

    Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, your local guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. After check-in, it is better to rest at your hotel to adjust to the altitude.
  • Day2

    Lhasa: Potala Palace, Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple

    Today we first visit the Potala Palace, which is the sacred place for Buddhist culture and the highest palace in the world. The appearance and design of the Palace Potala is typical Tibetan style, white walls, golden and red ceilings. The interior decorations are gleaming and exquisite.
    Jokhang Temple is the most sacred site in Tibetan Buddhism, attracting crowds of Tibetan pilgrims and curious foreign tourists every year.
    Barkhor Street is a place of religious atmosphere and a world of exotic articles, offering you a glimpse into the daily life of the people of this area.
  • Day3

    Lhasa: Norbulingka, Drepung Monastery and Sera Monastery

    After breakfast, you will visit the charming Norbulingka, which was built as a summer palace. The buildings and decorations are of typical Tibetan style, making you feel as if you were in a royal Tibetan garden.
    Then come to Drepung Monastery, the largest of the six major monasteries of Gelug Sect, which was first constructed in 1416. It covers an area of 250,000 square meters, and has more than 10,000 lamas.
    Your visit to Lhasa will end at Sera Monastery. It was first constructed by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Zongkaba in 1419. Every day (except Monday) at 15:00, there is a debate on Buddhist doctrines among the monks at Sera Monastery. The debate is held in the gardens and it’s a necessary way to learn sutras and scriptures.
  • Day4

    Lhasa to Shigatse, Yamdrok Lake, Palcho Monastery, Karuola Glacier

    We're going to Shigatse today. On the way, we can see Yamdrok Lake, which is the largest waterfowl habitat in Tibet, attracting numerous swans and seagulls every summer. It is a sacred lake for Tibetans.
    Then we visit Palcho Monastery, which is very different from other monasteries. Built as a Tibetan monastery, its structural style is very unique, and it is also famous for architecture, sculpture and mural painting.
    Looking around, you can see Karuola Glacier. With the blue lake, green mountains, and snow-covered mountains, the image of nature in Tibet looks more colorful and fabulous.
    After the tour we will continue driving to Shigatse. Tonight we will accommodate in Shigatse.

    Tashilunpo Monastery, Sakya Monastery, Shigaste to Tingri

    After breakfast we will visit Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the largest monastery in the Western Tibetan region, where the Panches of successive generations carry out religious and political activities.
    Then we will visit the Sakya Monastery, the representative Tibetan Buddhist monastery of Sakyapa Sect. The monastery is a castle type building, with great halls and high eaves, including much Yuan Dynasty architectural styles. The monastery collects many Murals, sculptures, embroideries, offerings and uncountable hand-written classics and literature books. It is one of few centres for reserving Tibetan language books and writing Tantric works, also titled as "2nd Dunhuang" in China
    Afterwards we will drive to Tingri. You can enjoy the fantastic scenery on the way.

    Everest Base Camp and Rongbuk Monastery

    Today it will take 4 hours driving from Tingri to Everest Base Camp. Mount Everest towers 8848.13 meters above sea level, and is the highest peak in the world. The snow capped mountain presents a saintly scene all the year around. As there are four mountains with their altitudes being over 8,000 meters and 38 over 7,000 meters in the Mount Everest area, it is acclaimed as the third Pole of the earth.
    Rongbuk Monastery is the highest temple at an altitude of more than 5,000 meters (16728 feet). Now Rongbuk Monastery becomes the main camp for climbers from the northern slope, and the best location to take photos and view the mount.
    At night we will accommodate at Rongbuk Guest House or Tibetan Tents Camp, and both are very simple.
  • Day7

    Go to Gyirong

    • in Gyirong
    Today we will go to Gyirong and spend the night there. Although it takes a long time by car, it is not boring. Along the way, you can enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery through the windows, and you will have chance to see the beautiful Peygutso Lake at the foot of the Mount Everest.
  • Day8

    Gyirong Departure, Gyirong to Kathmandu arranged by yourself

    After breakfast we will drie you to Gyirong port, the border of China and Nepal. Our service will end here. You can choose to share with other customers to hire a private car. We also can offer you the transfer service from Gyirong to Kathmandu with extra cost.

Private Transfer

Normally we will arrange vehicles with more space for you and your luggages. Depending on the number of passengers, we generally use sedans or minivans (7 seats) for 4 people or less, large vans or small buses (12-22 seats) for 5 to 12 people, medium cars (33-37 seats) for 13 - 25 people and large buses (more than 45 seats) for more than 25 people.

Remarks 
•  Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit (TTB) should be applied 12 working days in advance before the date of your trip de Tibet. If you couldn't provide the required documents on time, an extra handling fee will be charged.
•  Due to the special nature of Tibet, if any unforeseen cases occur beyond our control, such as war, fire, epidemics, health risks, hurricanes, terrorism and other current or potential severe weather conditions, government action, major traffic jams, delay or cancellation of flight/train, attractions temporarily closed. etc., we will have to change your itinerary, and in this case, we will calculate and charge/refund any increase or reduction in travel costs accordingly.
