    Lhasa Arrival

    Upon arrival at Gonggar Airport, your local guide will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel in Lhasa. After check-in, it is better to rest at your hotel to adjust to the altitude.
  • Day2

    Lhasa: Potala Palace, Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple

    Walk through the breathtaking labyrinth of corridors and staircases in the Potala Palace, which leads to countless rooms richly decorated with statues, murals and antiques. You may feel like you are going through the history of Tibet with vivid explanations from your local guide.
    Jokhang Temple is the most sacred temple in Tibet, attracting pilgrims from all over Tibet to prostrate themselves in front of the temple. Learn the history of this temple from your guide and see pilgrims revolve around the temple.
    Stroll along Barkhor Street, see Tibetan merchants doing business, and explore an amazing collection of local souvenirs.

    Lhasa: Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Norbulingka

    Visit Drepung Monastery in the morning, watch the monks debate at Sera Monastery and enjoy walking in Norbulingka in the afternoon.
    Drepung Monastery is the largest monastery in Tibet, which was home to more than 7,000 monks in its heyday. Walk through the ancient alleys of the monastery complex, explore a small, quiet courtyard and take a look at the life of the monks there.
    Watch the monks discuss secular writing in the courtyard at Sera Monastery, one of the three largest monasteries.
    Enjoy a relaxing walk in Norbulingka, which means "Park Decorated with Precious Stones" in Tibetan language. It’s a summer palace of the Dalai Lama. Explore the palaces in a beautiful and serene garden.

    Lhasa to Shigatse, Yamdrok Lake, Karuola Glacier and Palcho Monastery

    This day is a beautiful journey from Lhasa to Shigatse by car. On the way, first attraction is the beautiful Yamdrok Lake, which is 100 km southwest of Lhasa and is one of the three most sacred lakes in Tibet. With an altitude of 4441 metres above sea level and a total area of 648 square kilometres, the lake is like a sapphire inlaid in the mountains. A dozen of small islands are floating on the water surface, and over the peninsula on the west bank, cottages are spotted among the farmland and gardens.
    Karuola Glacier on be border between Nanggarze County and Gyantse County, is one part of Mt. Noinjin Kangshar. The front edge of glacier tongue has an altitude of 5560 metres, the rock massifs are heaving to form all kinds of beautiful seracs. The Tithofacies of ice masses show various cloudy textures.
    Palcho Monastery, an attraction you can't miss in Gyantze, which was built up in 1418, having incorporated several sects like Gagyu, Nyingma, Gelug and Sagya. The buildings include Coqen hall, Zhacang and pagoda.
    Then we will continue driving to Shigatse for tonight’s accommodation.

    Shigaste to Rongbuk Monastery

    Today, we will drive about 7-8 hours to Rongbuk Monastery from Shigaste. You can enjoy the fantastic scenery on the way. Lunch will be at a local restaurant. Restaurant options are limited, but our guide will choose the best available based on the season and your requirements.
    Rongbuk Monastery, known as the highest temple in the world, is the best point to admire the scenery of Mt. Everest. It was first built up in 1901 by Awang Danzeng Luobo-an eminent monk of Nyingma Sect. As a Nyingma Sect temple for monks and nuns cultivation together, the monastery in its peak time had more than 20 palaces or chapels, and 300 monks and 300 nuns. Rongbuk Monastery becomes the main camp for climbers from the northern slope, and the best location to take photos and view the mount.
    At night we will accommodate at Rongbuk Guest House or Tibetan Tents Camp, and both are very simple.

    Everest Base Camp to Shigaste

    The best time to view the Mount Everest is at dawn or dusk, when the scenery is the most beautiful in a day. So today we will get up early and go to Everest Base Camp to appreciate nearly Mount Everest.
    With an altitude of 8,844.43 meters, Mount Qomolangma, also called Mt. Everest, is the main peak of the Himalayans, with its northern brae in Tingri County of Tibet and the southern in Nepal. Qomolangma, meaning "Goddess of the Third" in Tibetan language, is the highest and most magnificent peak around the world. Viewed from China, the mountain resembles a stunning pyramid and is covered with snow all year round. The largest of its kind around the area, Rongbuk Glacier is famous for diverse glacier formations.
    We will return to Shigatse after our visit.
  • Day7

    Shigatse to Lhasa

    After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the Tashilunpo Monastery, which is the largest monastery in the Western Tibetan region, where the Panches of successive generations carry out religious and political activities. Then our private guide and driver will transfer you back to Lhasa.

Private Transfer

Normally we will arrange vehicles with more space for you and your luggages. Depending on the number of passengers, we generally use sedans or minivans (7 seats) for 4 people or less, large vans or small buses (12-22 seats) for 5 to 12 people, medium cars (33-37 seats) for 13 - 25 people and large buses (more than 45 seats) for more than 25 people.

Remarks 
•  Tibet Tourism Bureau Permit (TTB) should be applied 12 working days in advance before the date of your trip de Tibet. If you couldn't provide the required documents on time, an extra handling fee will be charged.
•  Due to the special nature of Tibet, if any unforeseen cases occur beyond our control, such as war, fire, epidemics, health risks, hurricanes, terrorism and other current or potential severe weather conditions, government action, major traffic jams, delay or cancellation of flight/train, attractions temporarily closed. etc., we will have to change your itinerary, and in this case, we will calculate and charge/refund any increase or reduction in travel costs accordingly.
