    Arrival in Beijing, the capital of China, your guide will pick you up at the airport (Beijing Capital International Airport) and transfer you to your comfortable hotel. You will have your free time to explore this city for the rest of the day.
  • Day2

    Beijing: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Hutongs

    In the morning, you will visit Tiananmen Square - the world's largest urban square and the Forbidden City - the largest imperial palace complex, which was home to the emperors of Ming and Qing for over 500 years.
    In the afternoon, we head to Hutongs, a maze of ancient alleyways of traditional houses with courtyards, which is an essential part of Beijing's ancient life. You can take a rickshaw through the narrow streets and visit a local family.

    Beijing: Temple of Heaven, Mutianyu Great Wall

    Firstly visit the Temple of Heaven, which is a complex of Taoist buildings where the emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties visited for annual ceremonies to pray for good harvests. If time permits, we will fly kites in the Temple of Heaven.
    Then we move to Mutianyu Great Wall, the less crowded section than the Badaling section, which is more popular among foreign visitors. Walking on the venerable walls, you will be stunned by the incredible constructions and frightening landscape that surrounds the Wall.

    Beijing: Summer Palace, Beijing to Luoyang by High Speed Train

    In the morning we will go to the enchanting Summer Palace, one of the largest and best-preserved imperial gardens in China, which is famous for the variety of Chinese architectural art appreciated in its gardens.
    In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the railway station for 4 hours high-speed train to Luoyang.

    Luoyang: Shaolin Temple & Pagoda Forest

    After breakfast, we will drive you to Dengfeng and visit the Shaolin Temple, which is the dream place of all Chinese Kung Fu fans. Even the name sounds mysterious and legendary, the Martial Arts were developed here by the Shaolin monks, and they exhibit their skills in a fantastic show.
    The Pagoda Forest at the foot of Shaoshi Mountain consists of more than 200 brick pagodas, all built in memory of a particular Kung Fu master.

    Luoyang: White Horse Temple and Longmen Grottoes, Luoyang to Xian by High Speed Train

    Today at first we will visit the White Horse Temple, the first Buddhist temple in China and the important cradle of Chinese Buddhism. Many foreign renowned monks have visited here in the past to gain wisdom and knowledge.
    And then we will continue to the Longmen Grottoes, about 12 kilometers from the city of Luoyang. It is one of the three most valuable Buddhist grottoes. There are more than 100,000 statues of Buddha, all carved along the river bank, a truly magnificent art exhibition in a natural setting.
    After tour in Luoyang, we will transfer you to the railway station for the 2-hours high speed train to Xian.

    Xian: Terracotta Army and Big Wild Goose Pagoda

    Today you have plenty of time to visit the Terracotta Army - one of the most important archaeological finds in the world, with the army of warriors, horses and bronze chariots buried in the tomb of Emperor Qin Shihuang.
    After lunch near the Terracotta Army, we will directly go to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, where is kept the classics brought from India by Master Xuanzang.

    Xian: Shaanxi History Museum, Ancient City Wall, Muslim Street, Xian to Guilin by Flight

    Today the first visit is Shaanxi History Museum - one of the first national museums with modern facilities in China. It houses more than 370,000 historical relics and is considered one of the best museums in China.
    Then we will head to the Ancient City Wall of Xian, which represents one of the oldest and well preserved walls of Chinese city, with length of 13.74 kilometers.
    After that you will stroll along the Muslim Street and have some shopping. 
    Fly to Guilin for 2 hours. Upon arrival in Guilin, your guide will transfer you to your hotel.

    Guilin: Li River Cruise to Yangshuo, Yangshuo Countryside Tour

    In the morning, we will take you to pier for the Li River Cruise between Guilin and Yangshuo, which is an unforgettable experience. You will see spectacular limestone hills, elegant bamboo groves and farmers in rice fields. A buffet lunch is served on this 4-hour cruise.
    Upon arrival in Yangshuo at noon, after check-in hotel and a short break, you will have a Yangshuo countryside tour by car or bicycle to appreciate the poetic natural landscape. On the way, you can make a family visit and learn more about local life by talking to farmers.

    Yangshuo to Guilin, Elephant Trunk Hill, Reed Flute Flute Cave, Guilin to Shanghai by Flight

    Today we will back to Guilin to visit Elephant Trunk Hill and Reed Flute Cave. The Elephant Trunk Hill is symbol of Guilin. The shape of the hill resembles an elephant with its trunk drinking from the river Li, hence its name. As the most impressive cave in Guilin, the Reed Flute Cave is fantastic to appreciate limestone in a strange way under colored lights.
    When you finish visiting in Guilin city, you will be transferred directly to Guilin airport for the 2-hour flight to Shanghai.

    Shanghai: Yuyuan Garden, Yuyuan Market, Shanghai Tower, The Bund, Nanjing Road

    A full day of sightseeing begins with a visit to the Yuyuan Garden - a classic Chinese garden in the city centre and is surrounded by a busy market where you can find handicrafts, antiques and souvenirs. The Temple of the God of the nearby City is also interesting showcase of architecture.
    In the afternoon, you should love to have a bird's eye view of the city after ascending the new landmark – Shanghai Tower and take a stroll along the Bund - the world-famous World Architecture Gallery with 52 well-preserved European-style buildings. You can also have shopping in Nanjing Road to experience the modern city.

•    Comfortable Class Hotel (4 Stars)
You will normally stay in formal, large hotels conveniently located with shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities nearby. Quality service, fully furnished rooms, restaurants, gym and heated pool (in very rare cases there is no pool) all together offer an above-average accommodation experience.

Meals of Young's China Travel•     Meals
In your itinerary, it normally offers two meals each day: breakfast and lunch. You will have the freedom to choose your own dinner. If you have certain food allergies or special requirements such as vegetarian food, please let us know in advance. We will try our best to satisfy your special needs.

Lunch - A la Carte 
In order to have our customers to taste authentic Chinese food and avoid tourist menus, we take food quality, dining environment and travel convenience into consideration when planning your lunch. Therefore , we will arrange a la carte lunch at a local restaurant whenever possible. Lunch a la carte is varied with different recommended restaurants and different cities. You could order the dishes according to your taste under the instructions of your guide. However, in some remote regions where it is difficult to find a non-tourist restaurant, you could have lunch at a local tourist restaurant or in a local family.
Your Own Dinner Option
Dinner is not included in our China travel package, unless you have this requirement. Looking for food by yourself could also be one of your best experiences in China. Therefore we offer you this flexibility of food choice. You can ask for your private guide to gain good suggestions.

Normally we will arrange vehicles with more space for you and your luggages. Depending on the number of passengers, we generally use sedans or minivans (7 seats) for 4 people or less, large vans or small buses (12-22 seats) for 5 to 12 people, medium cars (33-37 seats) for 13 - 25 people and large buses (more than 45 seats) for more than 25 people.
