    Arrival in Zhangjiajie

    Most flights arrive in Zhangjiajie at night. Your guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city for a good rest.

  • Day2

    Zhangjiajie to Fenghuang, Fenghuang Ancient Town

    After breakfast, your guide and driver will drive you to Fenghuang about 4 hours. Fenghuang Ancient Town is located on the western edge of Hunan Province and next to Guizhou Province. Praised as the most beautiful small town in China, it is an example of what villages were like before the start of modernization. In the city dozens of alleys are paved with stones between wooden houses built on piles.

    Fenghuang to Zhangjiajie, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park: Huangshi Village, Golden Whip Stream

    Today we will return to Zhangjiajie from Fenghuang and visit Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. 
    First take the cable car to Huangshi Village, which is 1080 meters above sea level. It is the largest tourism platform to see the spectacular landscape in the national park. Then explore the famous Jinbian Stream (Golden Whip Stream) which runs a distance of 7.5 km. It is titled as the most beautiful valley in the world
  • Day4

    Wulingyuan: Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie Scenic Area

    Today, we begin with a visit to the Tianzi Mountain area - it has rocky peaks in grotesque shapes and is enveloped in accumulated fog. Observation platforms allow you to see the landscape at different angles. Then we go by shuttle bus to the restaurant to enjoy the food.
    In the afternoon we continue to visit the other must-see scenic area of Yuanjiajie, whose mountains are said to be the inspiration for Avatar's Hallelujah Mountain. The highlight of today is going down the mountain by Bailong Elevator. This elevator with 326 meters high was listed in the Guinness World's Record as the highest outdoor in the world.

  • Day5

    Tianmen Mountain, Departure from Zhangjiajie

    In the morning you have a half day trip to Tianmen Mountain whose name means gateway to heaven, which is famous for Tianmen Cave. To get to Tianmen Cave (a natural hole 131.5 meters high and 30 meters wide, formed naturally in the mountain), you first need to take one of the longest cable cars in the world. Then you can take a tour of several trails, including impressive glass balconies on which you can walk along the mountain shores, and take a free bus on the incredible Tongtian Avenue, a 99-curved mountain road. But that's not all: you finally have to climb the 999 steps before you reach the cave.
    In the afternoon after lunch, your guide will take you to the airport for your flight to your next destination.
