Nearby, Tongli is a traditional water town in the Yangtze River Delta, with its arched bridges, narrow canals and Chinese gondolas. In this visit you will visit the most representative gardens in Suzhou and take a boat ride in Tongli to experience the leisure local life.

    Humble Administrator's Garden, Tiger Hill, Panmen Gate

    Your private guide will pick you up at the hotel. Start your trip in the Garden of Humble Administrator. The humble Administrator's garden was first built in 1509 or the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Zhengde of the Ming Dynasty. It covers an area of 52, 000 square meters. The houses in the residential area are of the typical Suzhou style and now used as exhibition rooms. The middle section is the gem of the garden Of its area one-third Is covered by water. Around the lake are trees and buildings. The main scenic spots include Distance fragrance Hall, Fragrant Islet, Lotus Viewing Pavilion, Seeing-the-Hill, Building and Pipa Garden.
    Then visit the Master of the Nets Garden, which is famous for its rockeries and inscriptions full of sense of seclusion. It is only more than 5,000 square meters, but it is salient in theme and layout which offer a wonderful artistic effect. It is a representative one among medium-sized classic gardens in Suzhou.
    The Pan Gate has a long history and is the only intact water-land gate in the ruined ancient city of
    Suzhou. It is composed of two water passages; three land passages and outside gate Pan Gate, Wumen Bridge and Auspicious-Light Pagoda afford a triple scenic sp

    Tiger Hill, Tongli Water Town

    Today first you will go to the Tiger Hill, a well-known tourist destination in Suzhou for hundreds of years with a paged slope of 1,000 year history. This is where the King of Wu, He Lu (-496 B C ), enjoyed himself during his lifetime and was buried after his death. A legend said that three days after He Lu was buried, people saw a white tiger crouching on his tomb, and so the place was named Tiger Hill.
    And then you will have a leisure trip to Tongli Water Village. This beautiful river village, typical of the region, gives you an idea of what Suzhou was like in its glory days. All the houses open up to a network of canals with dozens of stone bridges and a constant coming and going of transport and cargo boats. Also of interest is Tuisi Yuan, a classic garden from the period of late Qing Dynasty.
    At the end we will escort you to your hotel of Shanghai or Shanghai airport.
