Itinerary

  • Day1

    Kunming Arrival, Stone Forest

    • in Shilin
    Arrive in Kunming (before 12:00), the capital of Yunnan Province in southwest China. Your will private guide will pick you up at the airport on time and transfer you in a comfortable vehicle to your hotel to the Stone Forest (Shilin). It is a karstic landscape which was formed due to the movement of the earth for millions of years. The area of Stone Forest is home to the Sani minority. Their popular customs have become spectacular scenery, and the embroidery of colors and dances of the minorities are combined with the natural scenery, sure to leave a deep impression. 
    Tonight we will accommodate in Shilin.
  • Day2

    Shilin to Yuangyang by car, Laohuzui Rice Terrace

    Today we will drive to Shilin to Yuanyuan and it will take about 6 hours. But it’s not a boring trip, which you can visit some ethnic minority villages.
    When we arrive in Yangyuan, it will be great time to see sunset at Laohuzui Rice Terrace. Yuanyang Rice Terraces, this incredible piece of engineering was not discovered until 1980 and now appears as one of China's World Heritage Sites. The area has three scenic areas: Duoyishu Scenic Area, Laohuzui Scenic Area and Bada Scenic Area.
    We will stay overnight in Yuanyang.
  • Day3

    Yuangyang: Duoyishu Rice Terraces, Local Market, Qingkou Hani Ethnic Village, Bada Rice Terraces

    In the morning we will driving to Duoyishu village and see the beautiful scenery of Duoyishu Rice Terraces. Enjoy a spectacular view from the scenic mountain terraces in Duoyishu village. To climb to the mouth of the tiger pass overlooking a wide view of the terraces. The highlight is a visit at sunrise and sunset, when the light reflects off the puddles of water, creating a magnificent colorful spectacle.
    Then we will go to the ethnic local market to know about the local life of the Hani people. 
    Enjoy the popular culture in the Qingkou Hani Ethnic Village. We will attend the performance of the villagers' dances and songs.
    At last we will take a shoot of sunset in Bada Rice Terraces and tonight we will still stay overnight in Yuanyang.
  • Day4

    Yuanyang to Jianshui by car, Jianshui City, Jianshui Confucius Temple, Zhu Family Garden

    After breakfast we will move to Jianshui town from Yuanyang for 2.5 - 3 hours driving. Jianshui City was an earthen city at the very beginning built in Nanzhao Period (a local regime in ancient China) , and then was expandedto a brick one in 1387, the 20th year of Hongwu Peri-odin the Ming Dynasty. The city enjoys a long his-tory and splendid culture, and in and out of the city there remain a large number of architectures embodying profound cultural connotations, in-chiding 50 sites of antique temples, nunneries, towers, platforms and pavilions.
    Jianshui Confucius Temple is the one of the largest Confucian temple in China and was built in the Yuan Dynasty more than seven years ago by hundreds of people. It covers an area of 76,000 square meters. Valuable historical information is provided for the study of Confucianism, the system of ancient examinations and traditional Chinese architecture. 
    Then visit the Zhu Family Garden, which is located on Jianxin Street. It’s a private garden of the Zhu family with a total area of 20,000 square meters.
  • Day5

    Bridge of Double Dragon, Village of Tuanshan, Jianshui to Kunming by car

    In the morning, we will visit to Bridge of Double Dragon. Located 5 km west of Jianshui near the confluence of the two rivers Tachong and Lu, it is considered a masterpiece of architecture for its structural and aesthetic qualities. 
    Later continue to the Historic Village of Tuanshan, which is an architectural treasure of Yunnan. The traditional buildings and grey roofs of Tuanshan have not changed as if it was frozen in time.
    After tour we will transfer you back to your hotel of Kunming. You will have a good rest.

    Kunming Departur

    Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport/ train station for your next destination.
